25 Weeks

Thursday, January 29, 2015

Baby girl is moving a lot in there! Still having some restless sleep, but overall feeling less miserable uncomfortable. Can't believe there's only 15 weeks left!

And there's my belly button, loud and proud. It's here to stay.

I started organizing some things this week and I finally found a purpose for my old wire shopping basket. Love these blankets and that some of them I used 28 years ago. They'll make the perfect baby burritos.

Living Room Update

Sunday, January 25, 2015

After the Christmas tree came down, this room felt empty and boring so I added a gallery wall mixed with some of my drawings and various prints form online sources. The colors are pretty neutral so they don't compete with the television. I also have been playing musical rugs as I got a new one that will hopefully hide dog hair better and be easier to clean. The old living room rug now lives in our bedroom after a lot of shimmying to get it under the bed. I ignored Pat when he asked "didn't we just do this?"

I got the idea for the striped candles from this blog. I just used black washi tape over some old tapers to bring them some updated funk. I made the pom pom garland out of leftovers and the chalkboard was made from an old map drawer. I have some new crafts and things to play with for the baby's room. Maybe next weekend :)

Friday!

Friday, January 23, 2015

At only 24 weeks I've already started having frontal pelvic pain and my doctor has referred me to a physical therapist. To avoid hunching over when I walk or walking around with a heating pad between my legs, I've started using this video to help stretch.

I've also pretty much stopped wearing any regular pants and started living in these fleece lined leggings. They're not maternity, but they are super soft and stretchy and come in six colors. Score.

I've been moving around a lot of things in the house getting the baby's room ready and the living room has gotten a few updates. Here's CeCe modeling the new rug. Hopefully this one will hide the dog hair better!

So happy it's Friday!

24 Weeks

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

24 weeks and moving to elastic waistbands! Yes, I wore a tulle skirt to work but it was so fun and comfortable. This week I'm looking forward to my next checkup and to hear baby girl's heartbeat. Not looking forward to my glucose test or the fact that my belly button has started sticking out.

Not seeing my feet under there...

Nursery Plans

Sunday, January 18, 2015

The nursery is starting to come together. We have all the furniture in place, we just need everything else! I'm using a lot of jewel tones and deep, rich colors because neither of us are into pastels or the typical baby color schemes. Of course it will have a vintage vibe like the rest of the house and a lot of hand made elements.

This embroidered flower art is from a local thrift store. It matches the floral drapes perfectly! They're actually tables cloths from Target that I clipped up. The white garland I made from leftover pom poms. Definitely need to make more of those.

We also got the crib put together this weekend!

Still a lot to do, but it's starting to look like someone is moving in :)

23 Weeks

This ultrasound is from a few weeks ago, but I still can't believe she's real! Feeling lots of kicks and I swear my belly grew two sizes this week. I wanted to start this blog as a sort of digital baby book to post pictures and milestones and to remember this journey. We are both very excited and equally as nervous!
