bunny slippers

As Fiona is growing out of her clothes so quickly, I get sad to see some favorites get packed away, so I wanted to start saving some pictures to remember them. I ordered the dress, leggings and slippers from H&M, I love their stuff! Fi has already been wearing the bunny slippers and I can't wait to put that sweet little knit dress on her. I love these Bambi leggings, which are very fitting since I just bought a vintage Bambi Golden Book at an estate sale last weekend. I'm obsessed! I've deemed her an official crawler now, so she needs these slippers, right? Also, they don't come in my size...I checked.

How cute are these little piggies? 

The picture below really cracks me up even though she is totally wiping out. She is lazy and likes to slide on the hardwood floor. I missed her first few movements that could actually be labeled crawling while I was at work. Patrick sent a video that brought me to tears because I was so upset I was missing it. I guess there's not much else that can embarrass me at work now that I've sobbed in front of my entire team! I know most parents work full time, but some days it is so hard and seems like cruel torture. I know stay at home moms are always defensive about how much work they do around the house (and they do a lot!), but they are also incredibly lucky that they don't have to cry at their desk because they are missing these milestones. When I got home she was over tired and cranky and so was I. She has had a few more good runs this weekend, but it is so hard to catch them on video because she always stops to look up at the camera. She is working so hard this week and I know she will get the hang of it so soon.

I've been busy adding more drawings to my Etsy shop, trying to get them in while Fiona is sleeping. She really tires herself out trying to crawl!

8 Months with Fiona and a Resolution

It's hard to believe little Fiona bug is already 8 months old. She is going to be crawling any day now, but in the mean time she will just keep sliding around backwards. I caught her here getting herself into a pickle! She is still working on her top four teeth. I guess she wanted to get them all over with at the same time...efficient.

I'm really not one for New Year's resolutions. I think if you want to make a change, you will do it when you're ready. But this year I did resolve to draw more, or at least doodle more. I started doodling little houses and decided to add some to my Etsy shop. It's been a while since I've had anything in there and it feels good. Baby steps for me too!
